Reversing the damage of Roe v. Wade (the Dobbs case)

UPDATED: 12/2/2021

This Wednesday, December 1st, the U. S. Supreme Court will begin hearing arguments for a case that could have enormous implications for the protection of babies in the womb and potentially even reverse all or part of the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that overrode nearly all state protections against killing innocent unborn children.

Archbishop Schnurr of Cincinnati together with his priests and pastors are encouraging all Catholics to pray and act to defend the sacredness and dignity of human life at this critical time.

Here are some opportunities to do that this week.

·       Join Archbishop Schnurr for 5:15 p.m. Mass on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains, followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, as we pray in a special way for the dignity of all human life.  More information and livestream link for those who can't attend in person.

Please join us for our regularly scheduled holy hours this week in our own parishes and offer that adoration time for this pro-life intention: Monday, November 29th, at St. Peter or Thursday, December 2nd, at St. Mary, both from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

·       Please pray the Rosary for this intention on Wednesday, December 1st, and invite your family to join you if possible.

Your Prayers Needed!

The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments for Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health tomorrow, Wednesday, December 1st at 10:00 AM (EST).

This case is the biggest challenge to Roe v. Wade in a generation. Pre-born babies and their moms need our prayers and fasting, especially tomorrow.

If you would like to listen to the oral arguments, you can do so on the Supreme Court's website or on C-SPAN's website.

Thank you for your dedication to God's precious gift of human life.

And if you haven't already, check out Pray for Dobbs! Christians nationwide are uniting in prayer and fasting for this case until a decision is handed down, likely in June 2022.
